The interior design of the spa at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore.

MANDARIN ORIENTAL, SINGAPORE

DESIGN

In 2023, Mandarin Oriental, Singapore dedicated a six-month multi-million-dollar refurbishment led by Jeffrey Wilkes of DesignWilkes, whose portfolio also includes the iconic Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok and Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Bali. The overall interior is vibrant, with design elements drawn from Singapore’s dynamic culture and heritage. One can easily sense the level of care that goes into the styling and curation of art pieces throughout the property.

ATMOSPHERE

The interior space feels bright, comfy and uplifting. As I walked through the rooms and common areas, I couldn’t help but notice the fresh blooms of orchids, lilies and other seasonal florals that adorned these spaces. There is a soft, floral scent filling the air that I really appreciate.

For business travellers needing proximity to the CBD, MO Singapore is a wonderful option. Quiet, private areas for calls and meetings are easy to find – whether in your suite, the Haus 65 Club Lounge or the private dining rooms at Cherry Garden (Cantonese & Teochew) and Zuicho (Japanese).

WELLNESS

With the hotel situated at Marina Bay, there's little excuse not to head out for a run or meditative walk. Starting from the Helix Bridge, the route takes you through the iconic city skyline with views of the Singapore Flyer, Merlion, Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay.

Movement sessions such as yoga, Pilates and HIIT are available complimentary for in-house guests. The hotel's fitness gym is spacious and fully equipped with Technogym. Private training sessions can also be arranged during your stay. If you wish to enjoy a swim after check out, you can also do so at ease — shower facilities are available by the poolside.

THE SPA

The award-winning spa at MO Singapore has earned its global recognition over the years. Its massages and treatments are inspired by oriental techniques such as the ancient Malay urut, jade stone massage and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

With only six treatment rooms available, booking a slot ahead of your stay is highly recommended. Consider opting for "Time Rituals", a 2-3 hour treatment personalised by your therapist to suit your needs. If you're interested, you can explore the spa menu here.

INSIDER TIPS

  • The Club Marina Bay Room is the only non-suite category with access to Haus 65 Club Lounge. Get an upgrade to this room category when you book the Marina Bay View Room with us (subject to availability). Learn more about the exclusive priviledges at Haus 65 here.

  • MO Singapore is a popular choice for Formula 1 weekends and New Year's Eve fireworks display. Be sure to plan ahead as rooms fill up quickly and rates tend to climb as the season approaches.

  • (Latest 09.06.26) There is an ongoing redevelopment of The Float @ Marina Bay to NS Square, situated in front of the hotel. Naturally, the construction is visible from rooms overlooking Marina Bay. However, rest assured the windows are double-glazed, so noise is not an issue.
